My name is DeeDee and I'm happy to be here amongst my own kind

I recently purchased Mousejunkies and have nearly read the entire book in less than 24 hours. I knew as I read the introduction that I had found (more of) my people.
After taking the book home, I read it aloud to my SO and friends and they ALL responded with "I didn't know you wrote a book."
Having grown up in California I have been a long time visitor to Disneyland. Having and uncle who worked at DL and would get us in free at the drop of a hat didn't hurt. My first visit to WDW was in January of 1998. My second trip was with my little sister in August of 1998. I have loved WDW since that first visit and have been lucky enough to go back numerous times.
As a little kid my Disney goal was to get to every Disney park/resort worldwide and I have been lucky enough to have visited 4 of the 5 open parks (come on Shanghai!)with a plan to get the HKDL in 2011.
I love discussing Disney with any and everyone and look forward to happy Disney discussions here on Mousejunkies.

Hi Everybody, I also just bought the book and have read most of it in less than a day. After a brief trip in the early eighties with a friends family when I was about 14, I didn't return until 1999 with my husband and then four small children. We were hooked after that one visit (at a horrible place off site). We returned in 2000, 2002, 2003, 2006(staying onsite at moderate resorts)....then it dawned on us that we needed to buy DVC. So we bought in at 2007 and haven't looked back since. It is the best decision we made and love that we can vacation almost every year with our large family. It's great to find a new place to share my Disney addiction with people who "get it".

Hey guys! Glad you're loving the book! I am one of those "reluctant" mousejunkies who gets dragged there each year. Once I'm down there I have a blast. The husband is flying down Monday without me, and I'll be sad not to go. Can't have our daughter out of school for another week, and I just don't have the vacation time!

I also live in NH and am a fan of all things Disney. I've been to WDW only twice, but love reading all kinds of travel books and websites--my sister-in-law mentioned the MJ book to me and I read it in 2 days. We're going back to WDW in April and I cannot wait!

I'm an Ohio Mousejunkie that not only has been to the park twice in two years, but is in the process of planning another trip with my wife, parents, and in-laws for this October (mostly thanks to the infectious enthusiasm of Mousejunkies!)

Was given the book for Christmas, and read it the first time cover to cover within two hours. I’ve since recommended it to several friends, coworkers, and family members; almost anyone who has read it has then told me that they were certain it was describing me.

Hopefully, that’s a good thing. Thanks for having me in the community!
